Basic Career Counselling & Coaching Package

Counselling based on sound knowledge and experience

Making Sure Your Change = Improvement

These unique counselling and coaching services give you accurate and reliable insights to help you build a career that makes the most of your knowledge, skills, interests, and abilities. Part of what makes these services powerful and unique is that they’re all grounded in my education and 20+ years of experience in Industrial / Organizational (I/O) psychology. Some of this expertise is summarized in my book How to Be Resilient in Your Career: Facing up to Barriers at Work, published by Routledge in 2023.

Typically, these counselling services are provided via Phone and video (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, or sometimes FaceTime). They are one-on-one, customizable, and linked directly to your needs and priorities. Clients are not expected to rely on self-serve online materials.

The Basic Counselling / Coaching Package Includes Four Hours

The four hours can be used to provide the services that are most relevant and important (e.g., support geared directly toward applying for and interviewing for a specific position), but a common sequencing of services includes:

Part 1: An initial assessment using an interview to understand you, your educational and work history, interests, any unique challenges you may be dealing with, etc.

Part 2: The information collected during the assessment is analyzed, and some research is done to offer concrete, action-oriented feedback. Typically, this includes presenting potentially viable career options that match your ‘profile.’

Part 3: I will offer you specific feedback based on the assessment, this could include ideas you can incorporate into your resume and LinkedIn profile. I will share career-related ideas and, when possible, leads.

Part 4: Follow-up session to help create a strategic plan including some clear guidance to help you get your career back on track.

All four sessions are recommended, but they can be spread out over time.

Additional support is available to help clients apply for a specific job opportunity or to prepare for an interview. Contact me to discuss this further or book a free, confidential 15-minute initial phone consultation through this online scheduler.

For some clients, fees may be tax-deductible. We accept email transfers and credit card payments.

Please note that if you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, and you have not notified me at least 48 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session as booked.
